Sayan Ghosh is a Specialist in Agri. Value Chain & Skills. He is a development professional with more than 10 years of experience in livelihood development projects. He started his career with the National Agriculture Innovation Project funded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and later joined Indian Grameen Services (IGS-BASIX). He had served IGS as the Assistant Vice President, heading farm-based livelihoods thematic area, and was heading FPO-promotion program pan India for IGS which helped him experiment with market, finance, and institutions across India especially in Eastern and Northeastern parts. His areas of specialization are value chain analysis, inclusive business development, M4P for farm and non-farm sectors and entrepreneurship promotion. At ICCo, he is leading the Agri-value chain and Enterprise Promotion Sector along with the Incubation Centre/ Centre of Excellence (CoE), focused on entrepreneurship around the agri and renewable energy sector.
Sayan holds a Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics from Bidhan Chandra KrishiViswavidyalaya, a State Agricultural University. He also has several publications in journals of national and international reputes including a book on ‘Betel Leaf Cultivation-A Potential Crop for Sustainable Income’
